Facilities and accommodation
Dorset Support Service offers accessible accommodation in Ferndown for adults with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, supporting people to live independently in their own homes.
Situated in the welcoming town of Ferndown, we support people within a peaceful residential area close to the town centre, which offers a wide range of shops, cafés and everyday amenities. Surrounded by green spaces, woodlands and heathland, the area offers a calm environment while still being well connected, with excellent transport links to Bournemouth and the wider Dorset coast.
We are open to supporting people with learning disabilities and autism who may require specialist new homes or support in their own home.
Our specialist support
SeeAbility is unique in providing in-house specialist support, including vision rehabilitation and, where commissioned, positive behaviour support (PBS).
Our focus is on encouraging people to challenge themselves to achieve their own goals and get the most out of life, while supporting increased independence and choice. Our support teams are also trained in Active Support, which encourages people we're supporting to take control of their lives.
