Our World Record (easy read)

SeeAbility has got a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title™.
Our record is for “Most participants featured on a live portrait installation in 48 hours”.
This means the most people ever drawn in a live picture in 48 hours.
We did it to talk about all the children with learning disabilities and autism not getting good eye care.
We think there are 80,000 people with learning disabilities in the UK who have a problem with their sight.
We wanted to draw 800 people who came to our event.
Lots of people turned up in London for the event.
They were drawn on to a huge picture.
We drew all 800 people!
The pictures were drawn by:
- An artist called Luke Embden
- An artist with autism called Alex the Doodler
- Georgie, who works at SeeAbility
Because we drew 800 people, we got a world record.
That means no one else in the world has done it.
The people from Guinness World Records came and checked that we did it.
We wanted to help people know about SeeAbility’s Special Schools Eye Care Service.
This helps children and young people get eye tests and glasses.
Lots of people in special schools do not get good eye care.
It is important to have an eye test every year.
