Our support in Surbiton
We're excited to welcome more people into our fully accessible accommodation at Surbiton, a private supported living home located just across the river from the world famous palace of Hampton Court.
Set across two floors and featuring a communal lounge and kitchen, as well as an award-winning sensory garden, Surbiton offers plenty of welcoming spaces to relax, socialise, and spend time with family and friends.
Accommodation
Surbiton is a supported living house set across two spacious floors, with access to both via a stairlift. The spacious room on the first floor also features a fully-accessible en-suite wet room.
The house is built with community in mind, featuring a large shared lounge and kitchen where people can relax, socialise with their friends and support with meal preparation.
Behind the building is an award-winning sensory garden which was featured at the Chelsea Flower Show, providing a peaceful and welcoming space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Located only a short drive away from the historic Hampton Court Palace, and with nearby access to the vibrant high street (featuring a series of independent shops, restaurants, cafés and the monthly Farmer's Market), there's plenty to explore in the local area.
Our support
Our support in Surbiton is designed to be highly person-centred. We take time to get to know everyone, enabling us to work alongside them to build ambitious lives. We provide tailored support to meet each person's needs, goals and aspirations, supporting them to develop new skills, gain confidence and build the life they choose.
Finding community

People supported at Surbiton make close friends with their neighbours and enjoy exploring the many opportunities that the local area has to offer.
Surbiton has an open-air town centre featuring a wide variety of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Nature lovers are spoilt for choice, with nearby access to the beautifully manicured Claremont Gardens, the historic 19-acre Fishponds Park (which is set in the grounds of a former Georgian estate), and the extensive Berrylands Nature Reserve.
Surbiton also has excellent commuting access to London, with a single train ride from Surbiton Railway Station taking only 20 minutes to reach Westminster.
Ready, Willing and Able

People supported by SeeAbility also have access to our supported employment programme Ready, Willing and Able. This programme supports people with confidence training and mentoring via a supported employment coach, who will also support them in their search to find meaningful employment.
Listen Up!
SeeAbility’s Listen Up programme supports people with disabilities to speak up and campaign about the issues that matter to them. It is an exciting programme that works with people to build confidence and make a difference in society.
