Denecroft is a fully accessible residential home set within the historic town of Guildford. Surrounded by riverside walks and the natural beauty of the Surrey Hills, with easy access to theatres, cinemas, shops and cafés, the location provides the best of both peaceful residential living and the excitement of a bustling town centre.

Featuring accommodation for up to six people across two floors, Denecroft is a close-knit home where people are encouraged to build new friendships, welcome friends and family members, take part in activities and pursue their ambitions.

Accommodation

Close to the River Wey and within easy reach of cafés, shops, theatres and parks, Denecroft offers a calm, welcoming place to live alongside plenty of opportunities to socialise and enjoy everyday life.

Denecroft has two bedrooms on the ground floor, and four on the first floor, accessible via stairs. Each bedroom is fully furnished for accessibility and comfort, with alarm call facilities included for peace of mind.

The building also features shared kitchen, dining and living areas, complete with a communal garden that can be enjoyed throughout the year. The environment is designed to feel safe and homely, supporting people to feel at ease and make the space their own.

Based in a residential neighbourhood, Denecroft offers a strong sense of belonging and connection to the local area. With support from a kind, experienced team, people are encouraged to build friendships, welcome friends and family, take part in new activities throughout the year and pursue their own interests.

Our support

Our support in Denecroft is designed to be highly person-centred. We take time to get to know everyone, enabling us to work alongside them to build ambitious lives. We provide tailored support to meet each person's needs, goals and aspirations, supporting them to develop new skills, gain confidence and build the life they choose.

People living in Denecroft are supported to build strong connections and friendships, both within their home and in the wider area of Guildford. Every day at Denecroft is an opportunity to try something new, with people encouraged to pursue their own interests and hobbies in ways that feel right for them.

Being based in Guildford means there is plenty to enjoy locally. People are supported to spend time in the town centre, whether that’s catching up with friends over a coffee, visiting the local shops or enjoying riverside walks along the River Wey. There are also opportunities to go the local cinema, enjoy live performances at G Live, and relax in one of the many parks close to the home.

Many people at Denecroft enjoy being active in their community, whether it be taking part in further education, swimming at the local pool, getting creative in the garden or joining a local club. Others enjoy the excitement of attending football matches, as well as planning day trips and holidays.

People living in Denecroft make close friends both among their neighbours and in the local area. We have a thriving volunteer programme, with many long-term volunteers building long-term friendships with people we’re supporting.

People supported by SeeAbility also have access to our supported employment programme Ready, Willing and Able. This programme supports people with confidence training and mentoring via a supported employment coach, who will also support them in their search to find meaningful employment.

SeeAbility’s Listen Up programme supports people with disabilities to speak up and campaign about the issues that matter to them. It is an exciting programme that works with people to build confidence and make a difference in society.
