Glaucoma

Glaucoma is caused by fluid building up in the eye, causing pressure which can damage your eye. 

You are more likely to contact glaucoma if:

  • Someone in your family has glaucoma 
  • You are over 60 years old 
  • You are of African or Caribbean descent
  • You are from Southeast Asia 
  • You have diabetes 
  • You are very short sighted

If you are over 40 and at risk of glaucoma, you can get free eye tests.
