Ambitious, inclusive and specialist support
We combine specialist expertise with determined ambition, ensuring everyone can live, love, thrive and belong. This year we welcomed the opportunity to support more people than ever before to live independently in their own homes.
Our innovative Quality of Life webs give everyone the chance to tell us how they feel about every aspect of their lives, from money to health to relationships. Our annual satisfaction survey showed that 94% of people we support consider our support good or very good.
More people getting the eye care they need
People with learning disabilities are 10 times more likely to have serious sight problems.
In a landmark moment for our work, the new government committed to rolling out the special schools eye care service, bringing it to more than 160,000 children across England.
With the weight of their lived experiences behind them, our Eye Care Champions continue to influence the NHS further, steering the commissioning and use of specialist community ‘Easy Eye Care’ pathways.
More people participating in and changing society
Our programmes give people with disabilities the tools they need to contribute to and shape society.
Our Listen Up! team of people with lived experience of disability encouraged 68 people we support to vote in last year’s General Election, many for the first time.
Our Ready, Willing and Able supported employment programme guided 34 people along their employment journey, with 7 securing paid roles.
Together, we are building an inclusive society.
