The Bradbury Centre is an accessible, creative and sociable hub for adults with learning disabilities, autism and visual impairments, offering tailored learning and leisure activities supported by trained staff.

The centre features two spacious multi-purpose activity rooms, as well as a fully accessible kitchen for cookery and healthy eating lessons. It also houses an IT suite which is used to promote communication skills and a beautiful garden space.

Located in the stunning coastal town of Seaford, the centre is close to beautiful sandy‑pebble beaches, peaceful seaside views and relaxing coastal paths, as well as local cafés, shops, and swimming facilities.

Activities at The Bradbury Centre

Joanne making some dinnerAt The Bradbury Centre, people can take part in a wide range of engaging learning and leisure activities which are designed to support independence, confidence and improve wellbeing. The activities on offer are shaped around each person's interests and goals, with support from our specialist team to ensure everyone gets the most out of their time at the centre.

A key focus of activity at The Bradbury Centre is supporting people to develop independent living skills. This includes practical, everyday skills such as cooking and healthy eating (using the centre's fully accessible kitchen), building confidence with mobility and orientation, and developing their IT skills in the dedicated IT suite.

Alongside this, people can get involved in creative pursuits, such as gardening, horticulture and arts and crafts. Activities are designed to be engaging and inclusive, offering opportunities to try new things, build confidence, and create new memories alongside others.

Activities also extend beyond the building itself. People are encouraged and supported to access other local facilities, such as gyms, swimming pools, shops, cafés and local farms. This community-focussed approach supports people to live their life their way.

For many people, The Bradbury Centre provides a supportive stepping stone for people who are transitioning from education, developing their social skills, or generally working towards greater independence. Everything we offer is fully accessible and person-centred, ensuring that everyone can take part, feel included, and work towards the life that they choose.
