Our support in Henbury

We’re excited to welcome more people into our fully accessible accommodation in Henbury, where private homes designed for supported living are situated close to the hustle and bustle of city life in Bristol.

Comprised of eleven spacious self-contained flats, each personalised to suit unique tastes and needs, Henbury offers fully accessible en-suite bathrooms, a peaceful private garden and a welcoming local community.

Henbury features eleven spacious self-contained flats, each personalised to reflect the tastes and needs of the people living there. Our flats contain large and accessible en-suite bathrooms, with some additionally featuring a ceiling hoist.

Each flat has been designed with accessibility and independence in mind, ensuring that people can enjoy the privacy and comfort of home life, coupled with SeeAbility's specialist support where needed.

People can often be found enjoying the large shared garden outside the property, which offers a peaceful space to relax and unwind. A large car park also provides ample space for private vehicles.

Located a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, people can enjoy quick access to the city centre, including the Mall at Cribbs Causeway, which is home to more than 150 shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Our support in Henbury is designed to be highly person-centred. We take time to get to know everyone, enabling us to work alongside them to build ambitious lives. We provide tailored support to meet each person's needs, goals and aspirations, supporting them to develop new skills, gain confidence and build the life they choose. 

Finding community

Caroline with Sam and Sam, her Support WorkersPeople supported in Henbury make close friends both among their neighbours and in the local area. We have a thriving volunteer programme, with many long-term volunteers building long-term friendships with people we’re supporting. 

There is also plenty to do in the local area. Henbury has a modern shopping centre, Cribbs Causeway, with over 150 shops, restaurants and venues. If it’s a more relaxing environment you’re after, then the grounds of Blaise Castle estate are perfect for a relaxing walk through nature. 

Henbury is also very close to Bristol, with excellent transport links, so anyone can easily tap into the thriving social scene of the ‘Capital of the South-West’.

Ready, Willing and Able

People supported by SeeAbility also have access to our supported employment programme Ready, Willing and Able. This programme supports people with confidence training and mentoring via a supported employment coach, who will also support them in their search to find meaningful employment.

The Listen Up Team

SeeAbility’s Listen Up programme supports people with disabilities to speak up and campaign about the issues that matter to them. It is an exciting programme that works with people to build confidence and make a difference in society.
