SeeAbility marks Volunteers’ Week 2023

2023 marks the 39th year of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when SeeAbility will join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK. With this year’s theme of ‘Celebrate and Inspire’ we hope to encourage people to get involved in volunteering in whatever way works for them.

The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering, so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole has never been more important.

This Volunteers’ Week SeeAbility will be celebrating their 110 volunteers, by thanking all our dedicated and fantastic volunteers with a certificate of appreciation.

Volunteer Manager, Richard Dent said:

“Volunteers are essential to the excellent quality of care we provide and they come with a multitude of skills and experience, and are caring, empathetic and understanding. They offer their valuable time to enhance and empower the people we support. Volunteer undertake a wide variety of roles including befriending, gardening and drivers.

"Volunteers Week is a chance to celebrate and recognise the fantastic contribution our volunteers make. So from all of us at SeeAbility, Thank you!"
