Gender pay gap report 2024-25
At SeeAbility, we believe that equity, inclusion and opportunity are not just ideals, they are the foundation of everything we do. I’m proud to publish our Gender and Equality Pay Gap Report for 2024–2025, which reflects the strides we’ve made in creating a charity where everyone can thrive, regardless of gender.
This year’s results show encouraging progress. Our median gender pay gap has reduced to 3.2%, a significant improvement from last year and well below the UK national average of 13.1%. Our mean pay gap remains steady at 4.8%, and while there is still work to be done, these figures demonstrate our continued commitment to fairness and transparency.
They also reflect the impact of our ongoing efforts to build a more inclusive charity, one where pay equity is not just a goal, but a reality we’re actively shaping.
We know that closing the gender pay gap is about more than numbers. It’s about creating a culture where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential. That’s why we’ve invested in leadership development and stronger inductions to give
our new colleagues the best possible start to their career. These programmes are designed to unlock talent and build confidence.
Our leadership training has been thoughtfully redesigned to offer more comprehensive management training across a wider spectrum of managers. By broadening its reach and deepening its content, the programme now supports colleagues at various stages of their leadership journey, from emerging leaders to those stepping into more senior roles.
This refreshed approach is helping to build confidence, enhance leadership capability, and foster a culture of empowerment and accountability.
It’s a key part of how we’re nurturing talent and strengthening the charity from within.
Our Inclusion Committee and Network Groups continue to play a vital role in driving change. By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, they help us identify barriers, shape inclusive policies, and support a sense of belonging across our charity. Their work ensures that inclusion is not just a conversation, it’s embedded in our everyday practices and decisions.
As we grow and evolve, we remain mindful of the structural factors that influence our gender pay gap. Our expansion in operational roles, which tend to be lower paid, has had an impact on our overall pay distribution.
Looking ahead, our focus is clear. We will continue to champion equity and inclusion at every level of our charity. We will support
our colleagues to develop, lead and succeed. And we will keep listening, learning and taking action to ensure that SeeAbility remains a place where everyone, regardless of gender, background or identity can flourish.
Thank you to all our incredible colleagues who bring passion, purpose and dedication to their work every day. Your contributions are what make SeeAbility such a special place to be.
