How we can support you Support and accommodation services Residential homes Woodlands Sam Adams (Registered Manager) 01293 784235 [email protected][email protected] Our service (one vacancy) This is a residential home in Horley for adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs. The staff at Woodlands specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss. Adam (pictured) lives at Woodlands and loves watching videos on YouTube. His Mum, Karen, says: Adam enjoys the calm, friendly atmosphere at Woodlands. He is always happy to return there after a weekend at home which is very comforting and reassuring for me. He is well looked after and enjoys his trips out to local activities. We want to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to enable them to make choices and express their individuality. Personalisation is not a tick box exercise for us but is fundamental to how we deliver our mission every single day of the year. Our specialist support team work closely with the people we support, providing rehabilitation to people with sight loss to help them maintain and develop skills, and be more independent. We have speech and language therapists who support people with communication difficulties and the team also provides assistive technology and accessible information. Our facilities and accommodation Woodlands has three ground floor bedrooms with en-suites and four first floor bedrooms with en-suites. The shared facilities include an additional separate bathroom, large kitchen, separate dining room, lounge, and outdoor activity room. Please note that this facility is not wheelchair accessible. Location and referrals Access to and involvement in the local community are further enhanced through trained volunteers. Woodlands is close to our Horley Support Service and is ideally located for Gatwick Airport. It also has great links to both London and Brighton.
