Position: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Exeter, Honiton and Wellington

Hours: 20–24 hours per week

Required: Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure required for the post.

We are looking for a band 5 or band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to provide specialist therapy input to people we support and maintain staff skills in relation to interventions. The postholder will work in SeeAbility’s Services in the South West and will also supervise the Specialists’ Services Assistant. The key purposes of the job include:

  • Assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention for people being supported by SeeAbility as well as outreach work.
  • Liaison, advice, training and collaborative work with staff, families and other agencies.
  • Management of the Speech & Language Therapy Service in the South West region. 

You should be:

  • A recognised Speech & Language Therapy qualification with a degree or equivalent.
  • Experienced in managing a caseload independently.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of a diverse range of assessments, interventions and best working practices for adults.
  • Somebody with good interpersonal skills for working closely with individuals, families, carers and other professionals regarding assessment, treatment and the achievement of shared objectives.
  • IT literate
