We specialise in supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to live independently in their own self-contained flats. People are encouraged to expand their capabilities and explore and develop links within the local community. Lisa lives at our South Gloucestershire Support Service and says: I like being independent and having my own flat. It means that I go out a lot and I’m able to do most things on my own. Having support when I need it is great and so is my key worker. We want to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to enable people to make choices and express their individuality. Personalisation is not a tick box exercise for us, but is fundamental to how we deliver our mission every single day of the year. Our specialist support team work closely with the people we support, providing rehabilitation to people with sight loss to help them maintain and develop skills, and be more independent. We have speech and language therapists who support people with communication difficulties and the team also provides assistive technology and accessible information. Supported living services are designed to meet daily living, social and personal care needs. These are arranged through a combination of one-to-one and shared support hours, and we can also provide support on an outreach basis to people living in the local area. . “I believe my son is physically and emotionally as safe as he can be.” – A family member Our facilities and accommodation We champion models of accommodation and support that offer people a real place in the community.
