Get involved Schools and community groups Support from our community Support from the local community is incredibly important in helping enrich the lives of people with sight loss and multiple disabilities — creating lasting change. Schools, clubs and faith organisations may wish to support us with donations or volunteering, while others have created fundraising events or nominated us as their Charity of the Year. Could your Community Group fundraise for us? You don’t have to be able to run a marathon or jump out of an airplane to support us! There are a whole range of different ways to help out, from coffee mornings to boot sales. Or, even simply displaying a collection box for us. We have some fundraising resources, which you might find useful: Sponsor form Fundraising pack Blank poster template Order collection tins, t-shirts or balloons How your local shops and supermarkets can help There are some great schemes available to charities and you can help by applying on SeeAbility's behalf at your local branch: Waitrose Each month Waitrose divide £1,000 between three customer nominated charities. To nominate SeeAbility at your local branch you can just pick up a 'Community Matters' form in store. John Lewis John Lewis offer a similar scheme. Each store has £3,000 to split between charities. To nominate SeeAbility as one of the chosen charities, please fill in a form at your local store. Asda Each Asda store has a Community champion to help raise awareness for local charities, you can fill in a short online nomination form. The Co-Operative The staff at The Co-operative also have a chance to nominate a local charity. If you have a friend or family member that works there then please ask them to choose SeeAbility as their charity.
