SeeAbility has benefitted from an amazing 540 hours of corporate volunteer time over the summer.

Teams from Aon Hewitt, Liquid Productions, Serco, Unilever and Barclays have donated their time to enrich the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss through transformation projects at six different locations.

I enjoyed working with my team on a project that will have a lasting positive impact,

Volunteers working on an accessible path at our Surrey Views service

Gardening

Projects have included brightening up gardens at the Millennium Centre, Surrey Views and The Willows in Leatherhead, and Heather House in Tadley. There's also been re-decorating at The Willows and Surrey Support Service in Ashtead.

The work will make a real difference as gardens provide so many opportunities for people with sight loss and multiple disabilities to gain sensory stimulation, understand more about the world, and learn new skills.

Volunteers help us to maintain and develop our facilities without cost so that more money can be spent on empowering people with sight loss and multiple disabilities through our specialist services.

We are incredibly grateful to all volunteers for their hard work in creating refreshed and relaxing spaces for the people we support to enjoy every day.

It was great to meet service users and learn more about SeeAbility’s work,
