SeeAbility behaviour consultant wins Outstanding Instructor of the Year
Nathan Bunyan, a behaviour consultant at SeeAbility, recently won an award from Loddon as Outstanding Instructor of the Year.
Loddon run PROACT-SCIPr-UK training, which gives our teams essential information and skills around positive behaviour support. Positive behaviour support is a core part of our model, which helps us to tailor our support to each person’s personality and needs.
Loddon said:
“Nathan exhibits all the qualities of a great instructor and his passion for PBS is contagious. Nathan is supportive of not only his colleagues, but also the other instructors on our course. He is organised, proactive, and thoughtful, and his teaching style was really encouraging.”
Nathan says:
“I was very pleased to win this award. It was totally unexpected and a very pleasant surprise. PROACT-SCIPr-UK® training is really important, as it gives our teams a foundational knowledge of positive behaviour support (PBS) which helps them to provide the best support possible so that the people they support can live the lives they want to lead.
“It also provides teams with ways to help the person when they are upset, and to do so in the safest, kindest, and most compassionate way possible. I was very pleased to win this award.
Beyond his work as a trainer, Nathan also significantly increased the accessibility of one of Loddon’s main documents, their Training Needs Analysis, to make it easier for everyone to complete. This document is now used by all instructors across the country.
Congratulations Nathan – we're proud to have you on our team!
