Ashley Stagg, Head of Property ServicesWhat drew you to working at SeeAbility?

At SeeAbility, we all have the potential to make a massive difference to someone’s life. This makes it a pleasing role and this is the main reason I joined – everyone who works here is passionate and dedicated and it’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

.

What are you responsible for?

I have overall responsibility for the Property Service team, ensuring we deliver efficient day-to-day maintenance and emergency repairs to all homes. I maintain a planned and cyclical building maintenance programme and ensure we comply with all the appropriate statutory obligations.

.

What are your priorities?

My number one priority is to ensure all of our properties are well maintained, safe and secure at all times. I’m currently focusing on delivering continuous improvements to our homes and am planning future programmes based on our property condition surveys. I’m also reviewing our existing supply chain and annual contracts so that we maintain value for money – and this is a key part of my role.

Tell us about Property Services

Currently, there are three of us working within property services. We have Paul Dockerill, our Property Services Manager and Mike Lowis, our Housing Officer and me. Paul manages all the compliance across our properties, including day to day maintenance repairs. Mike looks after all our tenancies primarily in supported living, from the start of the residence to the end of occupancy. We’re a great team, we enjoy our work and I feel lucky that I work with such enthusiastic colleagues.

.

What do you do outside work?

I’m sports mad and have a season ticket at West Ham United!
