Our support Support and accommodation services Supported living Leatherhead Support Service Laurence Hutchison (Manager) 01372 220 910 [email protected] [email protected] Our service This supported living service in Leatherhead offers daily assistance for adults with a range of disabilities. We specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss to live independently in their own homes. I’ve been supported by SeeAbility for a very long time now and I enjoy it here. My greatest achievement was doing the John O’Groats to Lands End tandem bike ride in 2010 and raising money for SeeAbility says Ivan, supported by SeeAbility. We want to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to enable people to make choices and express their individuality. Personalisation is not a tick box exercise for us, but is fundamental to how we deliver our mission every single day of the year. Our specialist support team work closely with the people we support, providing rehabilitation to people with sight loss to help them maintain and develop skills, and be more independent. We have speech and language therapists who support people with communication difficulties and the team also provides assistive technology and accessible information. Supported living services are designed to meet daily living, social and personal care needs. These are arranged through a combination of one-to-one and shared support hours. Many people using this service also access SeeAbility’s adjacent skills centre, the Millennium Centre to develop their abilities and to take part in a range of activities. Our facilities and accommodation The Leatherhead Support Service is made up of 16 self-contained single flats and eight double occupancy flats. Each flat offers a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a lounge/diner. There is also access to a shared communal garden space.
