Position: Dispensing Optician
Working in Hillingdon and Chesham special schools. You will also be required to attend a termly team meeting at SeeAbility’s office base in Epsom.
Salary: £22 per hour
Hours: Flexible part time, 0–10hrs/week school term time only

We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic, compassionate and experienced dispensing optician to join our small team of optometrists, orthoptists, dispensing opticians, practice manager and administrator in providing eye care and support in London special schools.

Our team delivers eye care, glasses and on going support with glasses to children with moderate to severe learning disabilities in their special school setting.

The successful applicant will provide mobile dispensing services in Hillingdon and Chesham (possible occasional opportunities to cover in Brent/ Greenwich/ Merton) for term time clinics and shorter lone visits during school hours. The applicant will provide practical support to the testing optometrist when attending a clinic and will also be required to attend schools alone to supply, fit and repair spectacles as well as provide follow up visits for all first time spectacles fitted. Clinics run in term time during the school day (10-3pm).
