You don’t have to be a miracle worker although that would be great. You don’t even need previous experience, as you’ll benefit from an industry-leading induction and training programme. You just need to be extraordinary and make each and every day extraordinary for the people we support!

As a bank support worker, your contribution will be invaluable. Supporting the manager, deputy manager and other team members you’ll work as a team to provide support to the people we support, helping them to live as independently as possible. Through skilful interactions and involvement in person-centred planning and partnership working you’ll work with them and their families, to provide excellent, person-centred support, which is both safe, maximises choice and control and identifies outcomes that improve the quality of their everyday life.

At Heather House in Tadley, we provide nursing and personal support to individuals with life-limiting conditions and visual impairments. We have fantastic facilities here including a music room, hydro pool, gym, cookery and craft room. We encourage a positive atmosphere and are not adverse to the odd party or two as we have a large common room that is used by everyone. The people we support are welcoming, brave and courageous and working here with them is very rewarding.

You’ll need to be patient and calm under pressure as well as sociable, caring and supportive but above all, you’ll want to make a difference. You’ll seek new ways of working by thinking outside of the box and being creative with solutions and will take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support, striving to always do what is right by them.

So apart from transforming lives what’s in it for you? You’ll benefit from working with an exceptional team, an outstanding induction and training programme as well as on-going development with the opportunity to gain formal qualifications. We also offer flexible working options, long service and recognition awards and company pension and life assurance schemes. And we don’t expect you to take your work home with you at the end of the day, in fact, it’s illegal!
