We’re looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis - NHS Band 6 equivalent. As part of the Specialist Services team you will hold a small caseload including complex dysphagia cases, (Post graduate dysphagia training essential). You will receive supervision and given the opportunity for your CPD. SeeAbility supports individuals with Visual Impairments, Learning and Physical disabilities including Autism. The postholder will work in the South West. The key purposes of the job include: Assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention for people being supported by SeeAbility as well as outreach work. Liaison, advice, training and collaborative work with staff, families and other agencies. Management of the Speech & Language Therapy Service in the South West region. You should be: A recognised Speech & Language Therapy qualification with a degree or equivalent. Experienced in managing a caseload independently. Have an understanding and knowledge of a diverse range of assessments, interventions and best working practices for adults. Somebody with good interpersonal skills for working closely with individuals, families, carers and other professionals regarding assessment, treatment and the achievement of shared objectives.
