Position: Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5 NQP)
Location: Exeter, Honiton, Wellington and Bristol
Salary: £23,000 to £29,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Full time position (37.5 hours per week)

We’re looking for a Newly Qualified Practitioner (NQP) Speech and Language Therapist to join our team (Student applications are welcome)

As part of the Specialist Services team you will hold a small caseload covering Communication and non-complex dysphagia cases. You will enjoy comprehensive supervision as a NQP and given the opportunity for your ongoing learning in dysphagia and your CPD. SeeAbility supports individuals with Visual Impairments, Learning and Physical disabilities including Autism.

The postholder will work in the South West managing the “non-complex". The key purposes of the job include:

  • Assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic intervention for people being supported by SeeAbility as well as outreach work.
  • Liaison, advice, training and collaborative work with staff, families and other agencies.
  • Management of the Speech & Language Therapy Service in the South West region. 

You should be:

  • A recognised Speech & Language Therapy qualification with a degree or equivalent.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of a diverse range of assessments, interventions and best working practices for adults.
  • Somebody with good interpersonal skills for working closely with individuals, families, carers and other professionals regarding assessment, treatment and the achievement of shared objectives.
  • IT literate
  • Current drivers licence is essential
