Salary: £16,185 - £16,672

Closing Date: 30/11/17

The best thing about my job is walking home knowing I made someone smile.

Would you like a career that’ll make a real difference? As a SeeAbility Activity & Resource Support Worker, you’ll support individuals to participate in a range of activities, as well as being responsible for planning and leading different activity sessions. You’ll be encouraging the people we support to develop their skills, become more independent, make more choices and do activities they enjoy.

You’ll have the chance to join a supportive team and a great organisation that will ensure you have the right training opportunities to assist you in building a fulfilling career. It won’t be easy at times, but helping somebody with multiple disabilities and sight loss to achieve something they want to do is an aspect of the job our support workers love. You’ll need to have a good sense of humour, patience and persistence, as learning new skills can take time. You will also be a great communicator, empathetic, enthusiastic, creative and reliable.

You will be involved in a range of activities which might include swimming, arts and crafts, cooking, music, keeping fit or supporting people in the community amongst others, as well as helping them with personal care and day-to-day tasks as required.
