Our service

This supported living service in Honiton offers purpose-built accessible accommodation for adults with a range of disabilities and complex needs. We specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss to live independently in their own flats.

Greg (pictured) lives at Devon Support Service and is supported to follow Exeter City Football Club around the country:

It takes some effort to drive me all the way from Devon to Nottingham on a Saturday. Who else would do that? I'm really happy with my support, nothing fazes them and it's just really good they are happy to do it.

We want to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.

Our aim is to enable people to make choices and express their individuality. Personalisation is not a tick box exercise for us, but is fundamental to how we deliver our mission every single day of the year.

Our specialist support team work closely with the people we support, providing rehabilitation to people with sight loss to help them maintain and develop skills, and be more independent. We have speech and language therapists who support people with communication difficulties and the team also provides assistive technology and accessible information.

Supported living services are designed to meet daily living, social and personal care needs. These are arranged through a combination of one-to-one and shared support hours.

People received a person centred service that was responsive to their needs. One person said, “Staff go out of their way to support me in what I want to do.” Another person said, “I love living here, I love the support." CQC report
