The ability to move freely is an everyday action that most people take for granted. SeeAbility is seeking funding for an Innowalk Pro, a compact robotic rehabilitation trainer, that will offer life-transforming movement to young people living with neurodegenerative and life-limiting conditions.

    Situation

SeeAbility’s Heather House is home to young people living with neurodegenerative and life-limiting conditions. These conditions typically begin in childhood and often start with sight loss. Over time these are followed by seizures, the decline of speech, language and swallowing, and the deterioration of fine and gross motor skills that result in the loss of mobility. People we support at Heather House often struggle or find it impossible to exercise and enjoy the benefits of movement.

    Solution

With the funds raised, we will be able to secure the Innowalk Pro for the young people at SeeAbility's Heather House, living with neurodegenerative and life-limiting conditions. The innovative robotic trainer will allow people to experience the wonderful sensation of independent standing and movement. At SeeAbility, we are determined to bring these life-enhancing benefits to the young people of Heather House so that we can improve and extend their quality of life for as long as possible.
