Our bodies are always communicating with us and being in the best health you can be is all about listening to what your body is saying. It tells you when it’s tired and in pain, or when you need food or water or a good stretch. Our bodies can also tell us when we’re feeling happy, scared or angry. Listening and getting to know your body better can help you feel more comfortable, both inside and out.

Answer the questions below to help you think about whether your health is the best it can be.

Conversation 1: Live

  1. What do you do to look after yourself?
  2. Do you listen to what your body needs?
  3. What’s one thing you can do for your body to help it feel better?

We'll add to these questions with more when we start our next conversation all about belonging in your community, from October 2021.

Top tip

Our bodies are unique in how they look and what they need. To feel good about ourselves and comfortable with our bodies, we need to look at what's inside. It’s not always helpful to compare ourselves to others. Think about what you can be grateful to your body for.

Top tip

Move and stretch different parts of your body. Do some movements feel better than others? Do you feel stiff or flexible? By spending a few moments listening to your body, you can start to learn what you might need more or less of to help you feel in your best health.
