There are many ways that we communicate in order to feel more connected to each other - it's not just what you say, but how you say it, and your body language too. Listening is also an important communication skill. Good communication is all about understanding others and feeling understood.
These questions should help you think about how well you’re communicating.

Listening can be difficult when you have lots of thoughts running through your head. You can practice listening by asking questions that start with 'what' or 'how' - for example 'How do you feel about...? What would you like...?.
These questions can help you to stay focused on your conversation and be less distracted by your thoughts.
Non-verbal communication counts too! You can ‘say’ a lot through your body language and facial expressions. Think about how relaxed your body is feeling, and what it’s saying even when you’re not speaking.
