Bryony has been a huge Olly Murs fan since the Essex-boy appeared on The X-Factor in 2009. So when O2 generously offered to make her a VIP for Olly’s May concert at their London arena, Bryony began counting down the days!

Bryony moved to Ashtead in 2014 to live with other young adults supported by SeeAbility. She has a learning disability, which makes verbal communication difficult. Working with our professional speech and language therapists, Bryony is improving her verbal skills all the time.

Her VIP trip started at Ashtead with Kerry who supported Bryony for the day and a train ride into London. This was followed by an early dinner of fish and chips at Frankie and Bennys.

Bryony told us:

I really enjoyed dinner and Amy the waitress was very nice. I taught her the Makaton sign for the first letter of her name (A) and she loved it.

The pair made their way to collect Bryony’s VIP gifts, which consisted of an Olly Murs mug, lanyard and a signed tour programme. Sat in the middle of the arena and armed with an evening’s supply of candy floss, Bryony was ready for the main event!

I liked the fact that the big screens made it seem like the performers were right in front of me. I really enjoyed watching Olly and the supporting acts Ella Eyre was brilliant! I sang and danced all night long and my favourite songs were ‘Thinking of me’ and ‘Troublemaker’ Robbie Williams even appeared on stage to duet with him!

Bryony left at 11pm happy but very tired after a jam-packed day. SeeAbility would like to thank the O2 Arena for giving Bryony an unforgettable experience.
