We will be talking about our work as the leading organisation committed to increasing access to eye care for people with learning disabilities and autism.

We have a busy and exciting programme of events over the 3 days and we look forward to seeing you there!


Saturday 25th January

We are exhibiting for all 3 days of the event. Come and meet the eye care team on Stand M206 to:

  • Hear the latest developments in the NHS plan to roll out sight tests to children in special schools
  • Find out how to make your practice accessible to people with learning disabilities and autism
  • Check out our range of easy read eye care factsheets


We are delivering 2 CET sessions:

3-4pm, Optical Academy: Lisa Donaldson and Rai Bullaj “Special School Eye Care”

  • Be aware of the NHS England model for delivering eye care in special schools in 2020
  • Be able to adapt clinical techniques when delivering eye care to children in special schools

5-6pm, Dispensing Workshop: Lisa Donaldson and Martyn Howlett “Specialist dispensing for children with complex needs”

  • Be able to dispense and fit spectacles appropriately to meet the needs of children in special schools, helping to facilitate successful adaptation

7:30pm 100% Optical is launching the LOVE EYEWEAR AWARDS (Sponsored by Shamir)

Taking place at ZeroSette, these awards will champion and promote eyewear amongst independent and major designers, manufacturers and retailers.

Sunday 26th January

Come to the SeeAbility exhibition stand from 10am–6pm.

From 6.45pm we will be at the AOP Awards where we have been named as a finalist for Charity of the Year!

The Awards celebrate Excellence in Optics with a gala dinner and awards ceremony, followed by live entertainment.

Monday 27th January

Join us at the SeeAbility stand for the last day of the event from 10am–5pm.

Come along and meet Grace, who is employed as one of our London Eye Care Champions. Grace provides the perspective of someone with learning disabilities and sight loss and will be happy to advise you on making your practice more accessible!
