Amar Latif of Celebrity MasterChef fame, and TV presenter Helen Fospero join SeeAbility as Patrons We are delighted to welcome our first two celebrity patrons - We’re thrilled to announce that business entrepreneur and TV personality, Amar Latif, and Helen Fospero, television presenter and journalist, will be joining us as our patrons. . We are committed to ensuring people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss are able to participate fully in society and in 2019, partnered with Amar to offer a unique challenge to raise funds for the charity’s vital work, by joining forces on a trek to Mount Toubkal, Morocco's highest peak. As founder and director of the incredibly successful company Traveleyes, which provides worldwide group holidays for blind and sighted travellers, Amar is passionate about ensuring visually impaired travellers never have to accept restrictions on their world travel aspirations. On the trek, Amar was guided by Helen Fospero, of BBC’s The One Show, Watchdog & ITV fame, and the two celebrities soon discovered they have a shared commitment to enable people with disabilities to take part in their communities. Amar said: I’m delighted to have been invited to be a patron of SeeAbility. Social inclusion is a cause that’s really close to my heart and I’m looking forward to working with SeeAbility and alongside Helen, to make inclusion a reality for people with disabilities. We’re delighted that Helen will be joining SeeAbility as our patron, alongside Amar. After a recent visit to Heather House, SeeAbility’s home for young people with the rare life-limiting disease juvenile CLN3 (Batten) disease, Helen said: I was humbled by the dedication of the team at Heather House to ensure that people with disabilities lead fulfilling lives and achieve their goals. I’m looking forward to working with the incredible team at SeeAbility to break down barriers in society and to challenge assumptions about what people with disabilities can and can’t do.
