Free information and advisory services
Our Look Up information and advice service, focuses on eye care and vision for adults with learning disabilities, providing information for them, their family carers; eye care professionals and health and social care staff. It is delivered online, through publications, and a help phone line.
Look Up provides free to access informative and educational resource which is accessible.
What’s on Look Up?
- A national register of optometrist to find a local Opticians, providing key information about the optometry practice and the facilities available to people with learning disabilities
- Our You and Eye film. Made by people with learning disabilities for people with learning disabilities about getting your eyes tested
- Factsheets and booklets with information on eye health and care, and how to support someone going for eye surgery
- An explanation of the most common eye conditions for people with a learning disability
- Functional vision assessment pack, an observational tool that can be used to recognise how a person with learning disabilities might be using their sight.
