Young volunteering A photo of a lady in a library

We need your help so that more of the people we care for can enjoy the wider world. There are all sorts of opportunities for you to explore.

If you are between 16 and 25 you could volunteer at one of our services across the South of England. Your help could make a real difference. View our locations here.

Learn new skills, meet new people, make a contribution. You might go out for coffee, read to someone, play a musical instrument, or help in a drama, craft or cookery session. Most of all the people we care for need someone to be their friend.

"Every Monday I help to support a group of 9 people. We have completed a variety of projects, ranging from pine cones disguised as Christmas trees for the festive period, to making coloured paper from paper pulp."

"I have found the time invaluable in understanding how much we can take sight for granted. So many emotions and so much communication subconsciously occur through visual contact between people and so to have this taken away really challenged the ways in which I had to communicate with people."

"I've been inspired by other volunteers and the staff at SeeAbility. I like to think that the hours I put in really make a difference, big or small, by adding fulfilment to at least one person's life".

Our staff are always on hand to help and we will ensure that you receive training suited to your role. If you have some time on your hands come an join us.

For more information email us, we who would be happy to discuss ways in which you could get involved.

Change you. Change someone else. Change the future!
