Specialists in multiple disability

SeeAbility Reception at the Bank of England

SeeAbility, formerly the Royal School for the Blind, will be holding a reception at the Bank of England on Thursday 27th May. The evening will highlight SeeAbility’s work, in particular their specialised services for people who have a visual impairment and additional disabilities.

Hosting the event will be Kate Barker CBE, a member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the Bank of England and speakers will include the Rt. Hon. David Blunkett, MP. Mr Blunkett, who has been blind since birth, will talk about his time in public office during which he held a number of key Cabinet posts. Mr Blunkett has previously supported the charity at an event in Downing Street.

The reception plans to raise awareness of SeeAbility’s specialism for people with multiple disabilities which aim to maximise their independence and quality of life. It is hoped that greater awareness of SeeAbility’s work will result in increased financial support.
