SeeAbility benefit from local developer donation
A charity for visually impaired adults in Leatherhead has received a donation from local house builder Linden Homes to help fund its activity programme.
The developer has donated £5,000 to local charity SeeAbility to fund activities that develop individual skills, self esteem and interaction with others including music lessons, gardening classes, props for drama groups and the use of sensory rooms.
Justin Roxburgh, Housing & Development Director at SeeAbility, comments:
“We are very grateful to Linden Homes for their help in funding our programme. Our activities and new care homes have been specifically created for people with a visual impairment and other disabilities to provide the best possible learning and living environment.”
SeeAbility and Linden Homes have worked together to build specially designed accommodation for people who use the charity’s services .
Steve Bangs, Managing Director for Linden Homes South East, adds:
“We have developed a strong working relationship with SeeAbility and are pleased to have been able to support their valuable work in Leatherhead. The charity has had a presence in the town since the 19th century and is very much a part of the community. We hope our donation can enable the charity’s services to become accessible to an even bigger audience.”
