SeeAbility's Chief Executive, David Scott-Ralphs, appointed Vice Chair of Vision 2020 UK
David Scott-Ralphs, SeeAbility CEO, has been appointed Vice Chairman of Vision 2020 UK. Vision 2020 works with the UK's vision organisations and is leading the way in the creation of unified and effective strategy for all aspects of eye care and support. This includes actions to prevent avoidable sight loss, improving standards of eye healthcare and helping those with a visual impairment integrate into an inclusive society.
SeeAbility has been responsible for raising awareness about the lack of provision for appropriate eye healthcare for people with a learning disability through its eye 2 eye Campaign and is currently working with The College of Optometrists to develop an accredited training for its members which will include specific training and guidance on providing eye care to people with a learning disability . Dr Rob Hogan, President of The College of Optometrists, has also been elected a Vision 2020 Executive Member .
