Wild Cats performers take to the stagWild Cat Performerse!

The Wild Cats Drama group from SeeAbility's Millennium Centre played at Leatherhead's Fairfield Day Centre on the 27th August and performed an original play, "Streets Apart". The story was written by Hannah Stuart around a selection of songs chosen by the cast that included; "Please Mr Postman", "Stand by Your Man", and, "Show Me the Way to Go Home", set in the 1950's in the local area of Bookham, telling the story of two families.

All members of the cast gave a good performance, remembering their lines and their dramatic gestures.

The star of the show was Anne Docwra, who portrayed a socially climbing spinster, who eventually found true love. Her crying moved a member of the audience to tears, while her comic singing of "Show Me the Way to Go Home" had the audience in fits of laughter.

The play was a great success and enjoyed by an audience of 90, made up of a mixture of friends, relatives and the general public. Phil Ogden (a member of the group) said "I really enjoy being a member of the group, working with people I feel safe and happy with. I feel my confidence growing and growing. I am so excited about our play and cannot wait to do it again in the future."

A member of the audience said" I am amazed they remembered so many lines, it was funny and enjoyable, and they all did really well."
