SeeAbility & Blatchington Court Trust Held A Successful Information Day on 17 th May 2008
SeeAbility joined with Blatchington Court Trust on 17th May to stage an Information Day aimed particularly at young people and their families as they prepare to leave educational and children's services and move towards adulthood. Blatchington Court Trust, a Sussex based charity promotes education and employment opportunities for the visually impaired under the age of 30 throughout Sussex.
Held at the University of Sussex in Brighton, the event was attended by in excess of 100 people. A range of workshops and presentations offered information on:

A Parent's Perspective on Supporting Visually Impaired Children.
The day was chaired by Jonathan Wilson a Trustee of Blatchington Court Trust, whose son also lives at Barclay House, a SeeAbility Registered Care Home in Seaford, East Sussex.
Among the exhibitors were SeeAbility eye 2 eye, Action for the Blind and Talking Newspapers for the Blind.
David Briant, New Business Manager for SeeAbility was one of the organisers, and said of the day "The topics covered were particularly relevant to those attending, and the day proved to be a resounding success, with very positive feedback."
