SeeAbility celebrates exceptional volunteer service as part of National Volunteers Week 2007

Voluneteer Awards 2007Five volunteers have been recognised for each having given ten years continuous support to the charity. On Friday 8th June at the offices in Epsom, following a buffet lunch, each volunteer was presented with a certificate and a 1799 Halfpenny to commemorate their service. SeeAbility was established in 1799 by Samuel Bosanquet, one of the Governors of the Bank of England.

David Scott Ralphs, SeeAbility's Chief Executive commented; 'Volunteers are vital in helping us extend the scope of our support within the local community. These five people being recognised today are thoroughly deserving of praise for their considerable support over the last decade.'

The five volunteers were Connie Amos, Ruth Aldridge, Roger Sheppard, Peter Lackenby and David Chartres, all of whom have been dedicated volunteers on the Leatherhead site since 1997. Congratulations!
