Disability Cycling World Champions set the challenge!

 Barney Storey and Anthony Kappes

As Disability Cycling World Champions, Barney Storey and I are thrilled to invite readers to take part in SeeAbility's Leatherhead to Le Mans 24 hour Cycle Challenge!  If anyone wants to be part of an exhilarating cycling event and meet lots of other like-minded people, then this is the weekend for them!  It's also a great opportunity to ride through some spectacular English and French countryside, to the buzzing city of Le Mans.

The ride will be taking place on the weekend of the 7-9th September 2007 from SeeAbility's Millennium Centre, Leatherhead. It really is open to all standards of cyclists and there are two distances to choose from - 170 or 85 miles split over two days riding.  The top fundraiser from the ride will also win a Trek 3500 Mountain Bike!

I am partially sighted and I understand how important SeeAbility's work with young people and adults who are blind or visually impaired with additional disabilities, enables them to realise their full potential.  SeeAbility provides accommodation, training, community outreach projects and rehabilitation support and this event is expected to raise over £25,000 to continue their vital work.

Interested readers can find out more about this fantastic challenge, by calling the Bike for Sight Team on 01372 755 014 today!

Yours sincerely,
