SeeAbility Exeter Support Service and Shared Ownership Housing Scheme Opens - 23rd March 2006

This pioneering shared ownership scheme and support service was developed by SeeAbility in conjunction with Signpost Housing Association and Devon County Council. Eight properties have been built on a new housing estate in Exeter by Signpost Housing Association which are available on a shared ownership basis to people who have a visual impairment and a learning disability. SeeAbility provides an enabling support service to assist these people with their housing-related, social and personal care needs.

The first person moved in to their own home on 23rd March and has started receiving support from SeeAbility Exeter Support Service. The remaining people will take up ownership of their properties and start receiving support services from SeeAbility over the next few weeks.
