From Saturday 30th August until Saturday 13th September 2008, teams of runners will be running the 1000 miles to Land's End from John O'Groats to raise money for SeeAbility's eye 2 eye Campaign. Last year staff at Unum raised over £40,000 through the Le Jo'g event, which they are aiming to beat this September. Le Jo'g 2006

Literally hundreds of runners will cover the distance by running an average of 10 miles each passing a baton between them as they go. What's more, all participants are guaranteed a place in return for raising a minimum amount of sponsorship for SeeAbility. You can take part in this event by entering a team of approximately 100 runners to complete the whole distance or alternatively you can enter just 7 runners to complete a one-day 'Stage'. House of Lords Sight Pioneers Dinner, 31st January 2008

Lord CoeThe House of Lords was the prestigious setting for the second SeeAbility Sight Pioneer Fundraising Dinner on Thursday 31st January 2008. The event was hosted by Lord Sebastian Coe, one of SeeAbility's long standing Vice Presidents, who mingled with guests and kindly met requests for autographs.

After dinner, a short film about SeeAbility's work was introduced by Elizabeth Wagstaff, recently appointed Chair of Trustees.

The evening closed with an auction of unusual experiences and artefacts, including a luxury holiday in Tobago. The event raised a fantastic sum of over £40,000 to enable people with learning disabilities to have the specialist eye tests they may need to prevent them for potentially losing their sight.
